27th – Historic Homes Bus Tour
(Select from Morning or Afternoon Tours each of which goes to Three of Knoxville’s Historic House Museums. Transportation and Tour included in Ticket Price of $20.00 per person)
May
3rd – Junior Docent Day
(Hear the History of the foundering of Knoxville from a child’s perspective! The Episcopal Students of the 4th grade class invite you to visit the Fort between 10:30 and Noon. Free Admission, but Donations gladly accepted)
June
1st – Statehood Day
(Celebrate Tennessee’s 217th Birthday at the Fort and learn about Open Hearth Cooking & Blacksmithing. Free Admission, but Donations gladly accepted.)
22nd – Cherokee Heritage Day
(Relive the events surrounding the Signing of the Treaty of the Holston. Living History with re-enactors from the Cherokee Reservation. Hours: 10 – 4, Free Admission, but Donations will be accepted)
July
4th – (Thursday) Sons of Revolution Service
(Service in the Courtyard of James White’s Fort to celebrate the 237th Birthday of the United States. Hours 10 a.m. Free Admission, but Donations will be accepted)
October
18th, 21st & 22nd – HearthScares Tour
28th, 29th & 30th – Hearthscares Tour
(A walking tour of Downtown Knoxville’s Ghostly Past. Tours will last approx. 1½ hours and covers about 2 miles. Admission charged: For more information on this year’s tour, click here)
25th – Hearth-Scares Ball
(A Howling Good Time, with Food, Entertainment, A Silent Auction and Loads of Scary Fun! This event is in its 3rd year and is a Major Fundraiser for the Fort. For ticket information and other details, click here)

7th – Christmas Open House
Experience Christmas in the 1800’s with James White’s Fort and enjoy the Treats of the Season. Hours: 11 – 3. Free Admission, but Donations gladly accepted)
